"Our sons shot dead '

FAMILY MOURN Nael Qwader out to the neighborhood mosque for a ceremony. one of his brothers sitting next to Nael and stress over your hair while his uncle Mohammed Amada reads from the Quran and ask Allah for salvation. The Palestinians said that Nael was a fisherman, he along with some other men waded into the shallow water to catch sardines. That he is now a martyr. Israel is another story - the divers who would attack a ship of war and therefore was shot.

"Our sons shot dead"

The fisherman Nael, 30, would be a father in a week - Israel declares that he was a terrorist

GAZA. Five men shot in the waters off Gaza and floated up dead on the beach.

Terrorists or fishermen?

It depends on who we ask.

The men crowded outside the morgue at Al Aqsa hospital, south of Gaza City. Their eyes are full of grief and rage. They are waiting for a dead man - their friend and brother.

The door opened and the men push themselves up. They press their way to the cold room, rip out the dead and load him on a stretcher.

- Allah Akbar (God is great)! -Cry of a man.

- Allah akbar! Allah akbar! Corresponds to the second.

They bear him from the morgue, the parking lot and into a VW bus.

Nael Qwader, 30, was shot dead by Israeli troops yesterday morning. So far all agree. Then there are two stories.

On a dead terrorist. And if a martyr.

The people of Gaza have a clear picture. This is what they tell.

Nael Qwader and four other men went out from the beach early yesterday morning. They waded out into the shallow water, maybe fifty or a hundred yards.

The hands were small networks, to catch sardines and other fish.

Far out there was an Israeli ship. Suddenly, around five o'clock in the morning, the Israelis opened fire.

The men were floating dead in towards the beach.

Six gun shots cracked the air - the signal for collection.

Nael Qwadar has been home to the family's apartment in Al-Sahaba street in Gaza City. He gets a yellow cloth on his chest, with pictures of weapons. Then he lifted out of the minibus and two worn stairs up to the family's cramped apartment.

There awaits his wife, Hana, the ninth month of pregnancy. His mother Adiba. And the five children, two girls and three boys.

The room is stuffy, filled with tears.

The women kissed his forehead and hands and hair. They know it's the last time they see him. The rest of the day, they may not be there, it belongs to men.

Nael Qwader taken to the neighborhood mosque. His father, Hashem, sits next to the stretcher with a large hand over his face. Uncle Mohammed Hamada, 50, leads the ceremony.

First he read from the Koran. Then he asks Allah save Nael. Finally, he asks Allah save all Muslims dead.

The whole thing is over in ten minutes. Then loaded Nael Qwader up a truck.

His cousin Abu Ayman, 42, is desperate:

- He would have been the father of one week. Can you understand?

The Israelis will always be in the same way, "he says.

- First they shoot us to death. -Then they say that we are terrorists.

The truth - he continues - is simple:

- They kill us because we are-Palestinians.

The Israeli version came in a news items, just an hour after the shooting.

It differs in several crucial points.

The men, who should have been only four, alleged to have shot at sea in a boat, dressed in frog suits, man. They were on their way to attack a warship.

- An Israeli patrol saw a boat with four men in diving suits, on their way to carry out a terrorist attack, and opened fire, said an army spokesman, according to Reuters.

Just a week earlier boarded the command module through the convoy to the Gaza Strip and shot dead nine on board.

The procession goes through Gaza's streets and alleys. Fifty or perhaps one hundred men and boys ran next, with clenched fists in the air.

- There is no other than-Allah!

- Allah Akbar!

They pass over rows of Turkish flags hoisted after the attack on the convoy through. Past the walls with pictures of martyrs and burning Stars of David. Out in the open fields at the end of the Israeli border. For Al Shuhada cemetery where Nael Qwader to get his rest, where he will be yet another in a series of young martyrs.

The hole is already dug.

Five hundred meters away stands tanks at the Israeli border, ready to shoot.

- You see, "said Abu Ayman, and pointing to it.

- Gaza is a prison. We live on charity. They can shoot us at any time.

Wael Qwader, 35, the dead man's brother, is in a black jacket and shiny cheeks and squinting into the sun.

- I woke up this morning to a relative called and told me that he was dead.

He says Nael was a man who loved his family. But salary as a guard at the Ministry of Interior was not enough to give the children a good life. That was why he went out to fish.

- Life was hard for Nael. He struggled to make ends meet. As everyone in Gaza during the blockade.

An Israeli soldier shoots a few shots. Minutes later, crossing a fighter aircraft at low altitude.

Perhaps it is the men at the cemetery to be warned. Perhaps the poor Palestinians who are looking to sell the metal bits off in no man's land.

His uncle Mohammed Hamada says he is not surprised dödskjutningen.

- This happens every week, every day. Our sons shot dead. After the attack on the convoy through, we know that Israel has no borders.

He tells about the family past five martyrs. If Qwader Shadi, 22, was shot dead outside his job during the war last winter.

If Nour, 25, who was killed weeks before their wedding.

If Muhammad Rashil. And Ibrahim. And Hassan.

Nael Qwader is dead. Shall we ever know why?

The conflict between Gaza's Palestinians and Israelis have been driven so far, the hatred has been drilled so deep.

Two images have been burned down. An Israel that protects the borders and shoot terrorists. And an Israel that kill innocent fishermen, women and children.

It is ten to eleven. It's been less than six hours ago Nael Qwader shot and he is
already buried.

Outside the apartment where he lived, people will gather for three days. Lets sink into grief over coffee and dates.

A tarp has spanned over the alley and plastic chairs are already on the road.

Another martyr has been added to the line in Gaza, but at Al Sahabagatan becomes life never the same again.
