Doctors take on Jackson's death

Conrad Murray is in Los Angeles, ready to surrender himself. Information from CNN last night - Murray about to give up
The indictment is expected within the next two days.

Physicians Conrad Murray at risk a long prison sentence for murder, or manslaughter, for Michael Jackson.

Now the doctor acknowledges that he - unintentionally - killed the superstar.

The data came to CNN from yesterday's evening. Physicians Conrad Murray will surrender himself to police in Los Angeles, already this week. And an indictment against him may be instituted within the next 48 hours.

According to sources within the police who talked to CNN, the doctor under police interrogation confessed that he injected Michael Jackson with 50 mililiter of anesthetic agent propofol on June 25, the same night as the star died.

"Murder, manslaughter or"
An autopsy after the star's death ruled that Michael Jackson died of acute propofol poisoning. It then took only one day for local authorities to classify the star's death as murder, or manslaughter.

Ever since then, Conrad Murray was "a person of interest", but he has himself denied that he had something with the star's death to make. Until now.

No sedatives
The doctor, who had been Jackson's private doctor in six weeks, said according to CNN that he gave the singer a drip, including propofol - which usually is not used for insomnia - that Jackson would fall asleep. He says he then, when the singer slept well, left the room in the "maximum two minutes."

When he came back, Michael Jackson stopped breathing. Murray called for an ambulance, but all was in vain revive. Michael Jackson was pronounced dead at 14:26 this afternoon, local time, on 25 June 2009.

Is in LA
The doctor, who recently has been on hold hidden in his home in Houston, Texas, traveled over the weekend to Los Angeles, where he awaits prosecution.

- He is more than ready to take responsibility for all charges, says lawyer Ed Chernoff of CNN
