There is an imam in a mosque whose thinking does not conform with the Sunnah. He has been advised not to take for himself. He prays for those who are behind explosive attacks and say they are our brothers and that we sin because we warned them. What do you think of this?
Answer: It is not permissible to be silent about him. If he has received advice and proceed with his case, it is mandatory to notify the persons responsible for the mosques, whose office is located in ar-Riyadh. You must tell them that and that person says so and so. They will then address the issue. The fact is that this person has the same mindset as those misguided people.
If he defends them and exonerate them, he is considered one of them even if he does not blow up with them. But in that he supports them and please their action, so he is considered one of them.
It is absolutely not allowed him to remain in the mosque. It is not permissible for the mosque congregation to leave him in peace.
