This is a plant found throughout India in the form of bushes, with blue flowers, which reaches a height of about half a meter. It originally came from Turkey and Italy, was brought to India by a doctor to be cultivated.
The seeds are black and triangular in shape, has a strong pungent odor, and contains a considerable amount of oil.
It is incorrect that Arabs learned of its benefits from Greeks because the emergence of Islam there are no data on its use. Its therapeutic use was initiated after Prophet Muhammad (SAAW) said its positive impact and its potential for healing.
Abu Hurayrah (ra) said:

"It removes stones in the kidneys and the bladder if taken with honey. "It is effective against jaundice when taken with milk. "Its powder if taken with water is good for homorojder.
"If black seeds are boiled in vinegar and then smudging on the teeth and gum, may reduce the risk of inflammation and pain in the gums.
"It has also been reported that its fine powder is effective if applied at an early stage of cataract. "Black seed is also used for skin problems.
